The Venus Sconce Lights are named in honour of Sandro Botticelli's painting, The Birth of Venus, 1486. Venus emerging from the shell echoes the light emerging from the body of the wall sconce.

Using the same outer geometry the concealed light source can open up in a series like the sun giving birth to a new day.

The wall light contains a concealed light source which gently casts light outwards through the radiating light lines as well as upwards onto the wall above creating a kaleidoscopic array. When the lights are arranged in sequence the overlapping array of lines are mesmerising.
